Caramel Apple Smoothie
The R.W. Knudsen Family® products used in this recipe:
Submitted by Alyssa, age 7, for the R.W. Knudsen Family® smoothie contest.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup R.W. Knudsen Family® Natural Apple juice
- 1 cup Santa Cruz Organic® Original Applesauce
- 1 cup low-fat vanilla yogurt
- 1/4 cup Smucker's® Caramel Ice Cream Topping plus 3 teaspoons
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped peanuts or Santa Cruz Organic® Light Roasted Peanut Butter
Directions:
- Pour the apple juice into a pie plate. Stir in the applesauce. Put plate in freezer.
- When juice is slushy (about 2 hours) spoon it into a blender. Add the yogurt, 1/4 cup caramel topping and peanuts or peanut butter. Blend at high speed for 5 seconds.
- Pour into 3 glasses. Stir 1 teaspoon caramel into each smoothie and serve.
